American Friends Service Committee

AFSC (a Quaker-based NGO) began working in Israel and Palestine in 1948 when the organization was asked by the United Nations to respond to the needs of those displaced during the 1948 war. In those initial years AFSC set up the refugee camp system in Gaza and provided for the needs of displaced persons in the Haifa region.  Today, from their offices in Jerusalem, Ramallah, and Gaza, AFSC works to realize a just and lasting peace between Palestinians and Israelis while addressing urgent humanitarian needs on the ground.

HEAL Palestine

HEAL Palestine is a nonpolitical, nonreligious U.S.-registered nonprofit founded in 2024 to deliver urgent relief and long-term support to Palestinian children and families. “Through our four pillars—Health, Education, Aid, and Leadership—we provide critical care and resources while centering grassroots leadership and community-led recovery. Our work is rooted in dignity, resilience, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to heal and thrive.”

Palestine Children’s Relief Fund

Provides urgent medical aid, food, and life-saving treatment to those in need, including orphans and amputees.

The British Shalom-Salaam Trust

Aims to foster positive relations between Jews, Palestinians and other communities living in Israel and Palestine. We focus on small-scale, grassroots or developing projects that help participants build their own opportunities for a future of peace and cooperation.

United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA)

UNRWA human development and humanitarian services encompass primary and vocational education, primary health care, relief and social services, infrastructure and camp improvement, microfinance and emergency response, including in situations of armed conflict.
